Mortgage Checklist

 

Thank you for choosing The Citizens Bank!  We couldn’t be happier that you have selected us to help your reach your financial goals!  The following items are the “standard items” which are required to begin the approval process of your loan. 

  • Please provide a legible photo copy of your driver’s license(s) and SS card(s).
  • Please provide your most recent thirty days’ of paystubs or a YTD Profit & Loss, if you’re self-employed.
  • Please provide your most recent two years’ W2’s for all positions held.
  • Please provide SIGNED copies of your most recent two years’ Federal Income Tax returns (both personal and business returns).  Please ensure that you provide all pages to all schedules filed.  We do not need State Tax Returns.
  • Please provide your most recent two months’ asset account statements for any account being utilized for your transaction (checking, savings, 401k, IRA, money market, etc). Please note:  All pages of the statement are needed (even if they are blank).
  • Please provide a copy of your complete divorce decree and separation agreement to document your monthly receipt and/or obligation of spousal support or child support (if applicable).
  • Please provide a copy of your complete bankruptcy documents (if applicable).
  • Please provide a copy of your current mortgage payment coupon/statement and a copy of the note if you are refinancing.  You can also reduce expenses if you can provide a copy of your Owner’s Title Insurance Policy (if provided when you purchased) and the survey from your closing.

Please note that throughout the process, it may be determined that additional documentation is needed.  This is a very normal part of the mortgage approval process.  Please be sure to respond to any requests for documentation within 24-48 hours.
